CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Lawyers for a Charlotte couple accused of operating a high-priced prostitution ring say their clients will plead not guilty.

Sallie and Donald Saxon were indicted earlier this month on several charges, including racketeering and money laundering.

Defense attorneys Noell Tin and Peter Anderson say they’re beginning to go through the government’s evidence to determine and evaluate the facts.

The Saxons, along with photographer Glenn Fox, are accused of conspiring to entice women to cross state lines to engage in prostitution.

Federal prosecutors accuse the Saxons of running an exclusive Internet-based prostitution service where clients were charged up to $700 an hour.

The couple were scheduled to be arraigned in federal court this week.
