CANOGA PARK, Calif. — French adult magazine Hot Video awarded three time AVN Male Performer of the Year, multiple Hall of Fame recipient and Mercenary Pictures owner Lexington Steele with Best American Male Performer at the Hot d’or awards show in Paris on Oct. 20.

The last Hot d’Or awards show was held in 2000. The importance of the award following its hiatus was not missed by Steele.

“Many people that have come and gone in the adult industry since the last Hot d’Or trophies were awarded, but this Best American Male Performer award — the first since 2000 — means very much,” he said.

“I’m pleased to accept it for myself and the hard working men who perform in American gonzo titles. Thank you, Hot d’Or, for recognizing the American male gonzo performer.”

Steele’s other honors include the Venus Award for Best Actor, USA and the X-Rated Critics Organization awards for Male Performer of the Year and Best Male-Female Scene. His other AVN Award wins include Best Anal Sex Scene, Best Couples Sex Scene, Best Gonzo Release, Best Interracial Release and Best Interracial Series.
