NEWARK - from www.newarkadvocate.com --- A Licking County Sheriff's Office deputy who took photos of topless women while working special duty at a Buckeye Lake bar was one of three employees of the agency suspended since early November 2011.
One deputy was suspended for three days for taking at least two pictures with his cellphone of topless women kissing on the bar during a "Girls Gone Wild" event July 16 at Capt'n Woody's Pub and Grub, according to an internal investigation of the incident.
The deputy and others were in uniform and working special duty that day, according to the investigation. He showed the images to another deputy, who said he wanted nothing to do with the incident.
The deputy told the investigator he did not distribute the grainy photos and deleted them about a week later.
He was cited for immoral behavior and discrediting the agency and suspended without pay for three days.
The same deputy was suspended one day for misplacing a key that a Licking County jail inmate later used to cut himself on Oct. 3.
