$1000 for a no name starlett to do B/G is insane!

I never have before but from now on I will be booking direct with the talent rather than play that game. I’m not sure what’s going through their greedy heads but, as producers, we can fight this.

Boycott this BS! Either book direct or with another agency.

Derek Hay responds on PSP: In response to the post by Richard Average ?????? strange name and never heard of him so must be a pseudonym. Why does a producer need a stage name? Regardless please see the following exchange of E-mail on Friday between myself and their head of production.

I believe it to be self explanatory on the issue of cancellations.

With regard to rates the girl in question was Riley Shy, former contract girl at Red Light District who is booked solid for the next month and yes her B/G rate is $1,000. This would be the same conversation in which Lurid offered Direct $300 / scene for established male performer Christian. This was declined.

Dear Adam,

Further to our conversation this afternoon and the small run of bookings and cancellations that we have experienced with you recently. Please be advised that we would now like to implement the following policy that is also in place with several other producers and companies in Los Angeles that work with Direct Models.

Neither party shall cancel talent or movie in the period less than 48hrs from shoot date.

If Lurid Ent cancels talent in less than 48hrs, Direct Models will invoice a $200 / person kill fee.

If Direct Models needs to cancel talent (regardless of cause) in less than 48hrs or on the day of the shoot and suitable alternate talent, acceptable to Lurid cannot be provided instead, Direct Models will credit Lurid account $200.

Would you please forward to all other relevant producers and directors at Lurid and respond back to me, collective understanding and agreement with this policy.
