[www.videobusiness.com]- Vivendi Entertainment has acquired North American distribution rights to sex comedy Deep In the Valley.

Scheduled for release in both rated and unrated versions in October, the film stars Chris Pratt and Brendan Hines as twentysomething best friends, who are transported to an alternate dimension, where the world is like an adult film. Denise Richards [pictured] and Kim Kardashian also star.

“Deep In the Valley is a clever and funny movie featuring some of today’s brightest young talent,” said Yolanda Macias, Vivendi’s senior VP of business development and acquisitions. “The film offers a hysterical and original take on the clichés of the adult film industry that have never before been taken to such comedic heights.”

The film’s executive producer Geoff Pence adds, “We are confident we have a cult classic on our hands, and Vivendi is the perfect fit to help the film reach that status.”
