Glen Cove, NY – We have all seen the devastation of Hurricane Katrina by now. It’s impossible to escape the horrific images on television. This tragedy has touched all of us at MALLcom and we feel obligated to do something about it. A portion of all proceeds from Labor Day weekend sales will be donated to the American Red Cross to help aid in relief efforts. In addition, MALLcom will be matching that donation with a contribution to the Humane Society.

“While the nation is getting ready for Labor Day weekend, we realize many people affected by the hurricane don’t have the luxury of planning that final summer BBQ or family get together. They need immediate relief and we’d like to help,” said MALLcom Vice-President, May Aharony. “We’d also like to donate to a cause that’s near and dear to our staff’s hearts. The Humane Society does great work with animals, and we’re going to match our Red Cross donation dollar-for-dollar with a contribution to them, to help animal relief efforts as well.”
