CHATTANOOGA - A man who works for the Tennessee Department of Children's Services has sued Hamilton County, its sheriff, two sheriff's deputies and an assistant district attorney on constitutional charges of libel and official oppression.
Robert W. Lowe III claims he was restricted to his office, then suspended without pay after deputies reported to his superiors that they had seen him in an adult bookstore. The defendants feel it was "improper" for him to be there, despite the 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 14th Amendments. Lowe is represented by Charles Dupree in Federal Court.
