Up for this week’s Einstein award…
from www.fox41.com – LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police say a Shively man told them he should have just “shot in the air” instead of firing his gun into a club on New Year’s Day.
21-year-old Derek Fulleord was arrested and charged with attempted murder after Shively Police say he pulled up to the “The Doll House / Crazy Coconuts” strip club in the 3600 block of 7th St. Rd. and opened fire. When police got there, they found several .40 caliber shell casings in front of the club.
They found Fulleord standing nearby. He admitted to officers that he had “borrowed” the car earlier in the evening to make drug deals before going to the club to see his girlfriend. When security guards barred him from entering the club, he said he opened fire, according to police.
“The subject advised that he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone,” the arrest report states. “He was just drunk and high and should have just shot in the air.”
Police say gunshots “almost hit two security guards who were standing out front.”
Fulleord was charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.
