UK- A PAEDOPHILE rigged up a ghost chamber to spook a schoolgirl into having sex, a court heard yesterday.

Fishing line and poles were allegedly used to move ornaments and furniture in the teenager’s bedroom – making her believe it was “possessed by a poltergeist”.

A court heard the girl, 13, was so terrified that she allowed the man, 41, to have sex with her believing it would “exorcise the demonic presence”.

Prosecutor Ieuan Bennett said, “He convinced her he was acting on the instructions of some psychic expert to protect her family from being haunted or even killed by the ghosts.

“His aim was to so overwhelm the will of the girl that she in effect became his sex slave.”

Cardiff Crown Court heard the man had been living with the girl and her mother.

But his haunting allegedly began when the girl’s mother went into hospital. The court heard on the first night her mother was away the man used fishing wire to pull the girl’s musical keyboard onto the floor.

The schoolgirl said, “I came up one day and there was writing on my mirror saying, ‘I will kill you’ in pink lip gloss. He made out like he couldn’t see anything.

“I have a collection of porcelain dolls and I went up to my room one time and they were strewn over the bed. We came to the conclusion that it was a poltergeist playing.”

The court heard the man sexually assaulted the girl.

She said, “He said he would only have to do it once and the ghosts would stop instantly but it kept going on and on. We had to do it most nights.”

Cardiff Crown Court heard he later went on to have full sex with the girl.

The man, who cannot be named, is accused of indecent assault, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, attempted rape and of rape.

He has pleaded not guilty.
