Chatsworth, CA - On March 6th, porno super star and political juggernaut Mary Carey makes her highly anticipated debut for Legend Video in Cash Markman's Mary Carey on the Rise. The film, which kicks off Carey's new exclusive two year contract with Legend Video, is a gripping and sobering satire on the corrosion of one's moral fiber when in pursuit of political power and AVN awards.
"This is the story of Mary Carey the idealist," says director Cash Markman. "A woman who is not satisfied with the lot her double d's have given her. A woman who will titillate her way into the American psyche in the hopes of giving it a conscience while trying not to lose her own."
Mary Carey on the Rise is a departure from the brainless gonzo flicks Mary Carey has come to be known by. Carey welcomes the change. "I loved making this movie and working with Cash," says Carey. "I loved shooting something that is completely different than what I have done for the last two years. I feel rejuvenated. Reborn. It's like growing a second hymen!"
As an industry veteran with a knack for reinvention himself, Markman was eager to give Mary a new start.
"There just aren't any good roles for women in gonzo," explains Markman. "They always get cast as the horny chick with the dick in her ass or the horny chick with the dick in her head. So, I told Mary 'why don't we do something that shows people who Mary Carey really is?'"
Carey and Markman immediately began collaborating on Mary Carey on the Rise, a largely biographical script detailing the aftermath of Carey's 2003 run for California governor. When the ink had dried, they had created an intimate & inspirational portrayal of today's most fascinating sexpot-Mary Carey.
Mary Carey on the Rise is the first of many Legend films Carey hopes will thrill and please her fans. "This movie has everything my fans could want-hot sex, humor, great script! The cast is so hot I wanted to fuck them all!" beams Carey, who performs two scorching sex scenes in the film.
