Porn Valley- I ran into Michelle Avanti the other day. The last time I saw Avanti, who's now with Spiegler Girls, was at a reverse bukkake. The last time I talked to Avanti she was at an airport and there was drama involving her and security. I know because I could hear on the phone the back and forth between her and the airport gendarmes. Avanti doesn’t remember the incident, however.
Avanti is also about 30 pounds lighter now. You might say she’s scaled down from 100 Proof to 80 Proof. While Avanti admits that she had been a heavy drinker, she went to rehab several months ago and is now in AA.
“I stopped the partying and the late nite McDonald and Taco Bell munchies,” she says explaining the weight loss.
“There’s really not a lot of gossip going any more,” she adds. “I’m taking care of myself now. I’m going back to school in the fall where I’ll be taking computer classes- early morning classes. I’ll be going part time while I’m performing.”
“I know I did a lot of crazy things- drinking on set. But everybody deserves a second chance. I’ve mellowed out.”
I mention to Avanti that this probably puts a crimp in all of her partying potential and resultant stories.
“That’s a good thing,” she says. “I’m still a fun party girl at heart and I love it … in the ass- the bigger the better. I still like to have fun, but I guess you get rid of lots of old baggage. Once you hit rock bottom you finally realize you’re not getting anywhere."
“I lost a lot of work because of my drinking,” she explains. “I burned a lot of bridges and stuff.”
“Were you pissing off directors?” I ask her.
“No,” laughs Avanti. “But I’m proving myself when I go on sets now. That’s all that matters.”
“What did they have you doing in rehab?”
“Focusing on yourself,” she replies.
“I thought maybe they put vodka bottles in front of you, slightly out of reach and handcuffs on your wrists,” I suggested. I also asked Avanti when she first developed an affection for alcohol.
“I don’t know,” she laughs. “I remember going drinking and going to parties and being around a lot of people with the same hobbies and interests”
“Would you have black outs?”
“I used to, no more,” she answers.
“I’m fine now. I don’t party. I take long walks on the beach- just kidding. I have a swimming pool. I like to swim and hang out with friends that are not in the business. Work is work now and I separate myself from the two."
Asked what made her decide to get into porn in the first place, Avanti says she always liked watching it as a kid.
“I remember living with my cousins and they were a little bit older. I’d order girl-on-girl stuff on pay-per-view. Then I’d go it wasn’t me while we were all masturbating. I thought all the girl-stuff was so sexy.”
“When was the first time you played with yourself?” I ask her.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaagh, that’s so horrible!” she laughs. “I remember my bath tub water!”
Avanti thinks she was probably 15 the first time she was with a guy.
“It was alright,” she says but makes a face.
An incident on an Amtrak was what led her to the porn industry.
“I told you this story before!” she laughs.
“Tell me again- I’m an old guy with a bad memory.”
“I was a bartender and a cocktail server. I was going to visit my boss, me and my girlfriend at the time. We met a male talent on the Amtrak and I’m not going to say no names. I kind of had a little incident on the Amtrak and after the incident I asked what he did for a living. He explained that he was a performer in the adult business. I said are you serious I want to do that. He got me down here and I’ve been here ever since.”
Since she brought it up I asked Avanti when was the first time a penis went in her ass.
“I can’t remember actually,” she says, although Avanti once did a double anal with Chris Charming and Criss Strokes.
When informed that Strokes has done gay scenes, Avanti almost had one herself.
