PHOENIX (AP) – Authorities say a man wanted in Arizona on suspicion of a murder conspiracy and running a high-end prostitution Web site has been arrested in California.
The U.S. Border Patrol says 38-year-old David Elms was arrested Thursday south of San Diego while attempting to cross the border from Mexico into the United States.
Elms was wanted for his alleged involvement in creating the California-based Erotic Review prostitution Web site.
The Phoenix Police Department had arrested Elms in February after he allegedly contracted an undercover officer as a hit-man to murder a woman in California.
A warrant was out for Elms’ arrest after he posted a $150,000 bond and fled.
Phoenix police additionally suspect Elms of conspiring to commit aggravated assault, conspiracy of possessing narcotics for sale, conspiring to commit misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia.
