Scott Taylor, President of New Sensations, confirmed the signing to XBIZ on March 9, 2007. Brooke, a 21-year-old from Oklahoma, became New Sensations' first contract star since Carmen Luvana.

Taylor initially approached Brooke about an exclusive deal at the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) in January. The initial meeting almost did not occur, as Brooke's scheduled scene was canceled. Taylor then contacted her agent, Eli Thomas of Alternative Modeling, to arrange a meeting. After Brooke performed her first scene for New Sensations with Erik Everhard, Taylor offered her the exclusive contract.

Taylor stated that he had no immediate desire to sign a contract girl, but his meeting with Brooke in January and her subsequent performance altered his perspective. He mentioned that his "eyes are always open for the next new thing." Taylor saw Brooke on a movie cover in a company's advertisement at AEE and was impressed. He described her as a "smart and determined individual who is also an exceptional beauty," possessing a "girl next door look — but in her case, it's the really hot girl next door."

According to Taylor, Brooke is prepared for meet-and-greet events with fans, retailers, and distributors. He also indicated plans to market Brooke as the face for both New Sensations and Digital Sin. She is expected to perform for all the studio labels, including New Sensations, Digital Sin, and the company’s reality label, Greedy Video. Additionally, Brooke is slated to be featured in an upcoming volume of Digital Sin’s interactive "My Plaything" series.

Nelson X reported for AVN on March 9, 2007, that New Sensations and Digital Sin owner Scott Taylor signed the 21-year-old Oklahoma City native to an exclusive contract. Taylor described Brooke as "a really pleasant person," intelligent, friendly, and possessing a "great sex drive." He noted that she "loves what she does" and "looks like that gorgeous girl back in high school—the girl you thought probably didn't have sex because she was so pretty."

Taylor had not signed a contract girl since 2003 and had not been interested in one until Brooke. He explained, "I just felt Ashlynn's attitude and look were special. I saw her in a magazine advertisement at the AVN show. I talked to her. She shot a scene for us. We made the contract pretty fast and furious."

Brooke, who began her adult career in September prior to the contract, expressed her goal: "My goal was always to be contracted. That's what I wanted for my career. I'm sure that my contract will give me the right exposure and send me down the right path, as opposed to doing a few scenes and fizzling out. Her first title under the new contract is expected to be New Sensations' Sex with Young Girls 10. An interactive appearance in Digital Sin's My Plaything series is also in development, along with a potential Ashlynn Brooke Goes to College series. Taylor stated, "Whether they're giant projects or just our standard releases, you're going to see Ashlynn's face a lot. She's going to be the face of New Sensations/Digital Sin. It's very exciting."
