However, in actuality many (both active and ex-pornstars) feel that utilizing condoms and other protective barriers in adult films are a great idea and in the end will help to make the Los Angeles porn industry a safer, more legitimate and well respected industry.
One of the "old school" ex-pornstars who feels that condom usage in the porn industry is a great idea, is the legendary Nick East [pictured]. Between 1991 and 2010 Nick east appeared in over 900 adult films, many of which are still regularly showcased on cable and satellite networks. As of current Nick is an avid author and screenplay writer, who's best known for his literary work "The Orion Compass".
I've personally had the chance to speak with Nick East, who has related his concern over the current lack of professionalism in the current Los Angeles porn industry, and the studio's blatant disregard of for the performer's health and well being. Nick East was primarily active in the "Golden Age" of the Los Angeles porn industry and is repulsed in regards to what the industry has become. Nick feels that the Los Angeles porn industry needs to be "cleaned up" and he's willing to step up to the plate to assist in the effort to do just that.
As of March 3rd, 2012 - Nick East has challenged Michael Whiteacre (a man who appears to be obsessed with anti-porn activist Shelley Lubben) to a debate - which is to be moderated by adult industry reviewer and reporter Tod Hunter.
