from www.bakersfieldnow.com – New information about California City High School teacher Amber Failla reveals that she allegedly had sexual encounters in her class room with students when class was not in session.

Some of the students involved were as young as 14 through 17.

Court documents obtained by Eyewitness News state math teacher Amber Failla would text students one by one to go see her in her class room. Once there, Failla would perform oral sex on the students.

Police were tipped off about the alleged sex acts when a teacher at California City High School over heard a student in the locker room talking about a female teacher who had engaged in oral sex with one of the student’s friends. The teacher relayed that information to police who then began investigating.

Failla was arrested on July 27 after police served a search warrant at her home in Tehachapi. Police seized computers and cell phones.

Police also say that students reported that Failla had been “sexting” nude photographs of herself to students.

This is the second time California City police investigate Failla for allegedly having sex with students. Another investigation in April was tabled due to lack of evidence.

Failla has yet to be charged and remains free on bail. Police believe at least three students were involved in sexual encounters with Failla and possibly more. The investigation continues.
