Wilmington, North Carolina- Pandora’s Box has just joined Greg Sakas as persona non grata in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The city zoning board says Pandora’s Box is in violation of its ordinances. Same as Sakas was told. Sakas is no stranger to injustice having fought some huge legal battles in another part of the state to keep his other store, Pure Bliss opened. To wit: Sakas recently got a $175,000 judgment against New Bern after a lot of police harassment.
In Wilmington, however, Sakas was given the green light to open his Intimate Bliss operation but month’s later discovered that city council people can be Indian givers and speak generally with forked tongues when it comes to adult businesses.
To prove that there was a hearing this week, and it became official that Pandora’s Box would also have to go.
“They just bit the dust but they can appeal it,” states Sakas. “Although the board was 5-0 against them. They weren’t given any more rights than we were to see if they could get into compliance. At this point it makes two of us that are going down the tubes.”
Sakas then asked the powers-that-be where Adam & Eve stood in all of this since they also have an operation in Wilmington.
“I asked why aren’t you going after them and I wasn’t given an answer,” says Sakas.
“They told me I would have to make an appointment. I said I’m asking this question in front of everyone here. They would not answer me.”
“I was told Wilmington’s not a good place to be if you’re an establishment with any adult material,” Sakas adds.
“What they’ve done here is not right.”
