“Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” Shows at Tulane University Friday Night

Van Nuys, CA — Tulane University in New Orleans, LA becomes the most recent university to delve into the debate regarding the academic merit of pornography when it screens Digital Playground’s adult blockbuster, “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” for thousands of students.

Students 18-years-old and over may attend the 8pm Campus Programming event on April 24 at McAlister Auditorium. “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” has shown at nine universities including UCLA, Northwestern University, Carnegie Mellon University, Wesleyan College, UC Davis, and the University of Maryland, and met with a myriad of international news coverage.

Taylor Cook, outgoing Tulane Campus Programming Cinema Chair says, “Tulane University has a wide variety of traditions, but few are as eccentric as our annual Special Film. The yearly event is not meant to degrade women or defy authority, rather it serves to demystify some of our social taboos. Past events have played host to speakers in addition to the film. The showing of ‘Pirates II’ is generating a massive amount of interest.”

“This will be a uniquely fun and wholly shameless event,” continues Cook. “‘Pirates II’ also serves as a safe alternative to the usual debauchery of New Orleans, so hopefully we’ll prevent some mishaps. The first ‘Pirates’ film was a smash hit when we screened it a few years ago, and we have had the task of living up to it ever since. The 2,400 seat auditorium was nearly packed with all kinds of students–many were even dressed the part. We hope to continue our tradition for many years into the future and would like to thank Digital Playground for their constant support.”

“Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” recently headlined major news outlets around the world like CNN. The screening at the University of Maryland College Park was canceled after the state legislature threatened to withhold university funds. Declaring a violation of their 1st Amendment rights, hundreds of students and faculty gathered together to discuss the role of adult entertainment and view the movie in direct protest of the government’s threat.

Joone, Digital Playground’s Founder and the writer / director of “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” says “The best universities in the country are showing ‘Pirates II’ because they understand that academia is composed of a wide array of opinions. Exposure to these opinions allows adults to formulate their own thoughts first hand. Many people leave the screening of ‘Pirates II’ amazed at the positive portrayal of sexuality.”

Producers Joone and Samantha Lewis made “Pirates” and “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” with the intention of breaking down the popular notions of what adult movies are capable of. With over 600 special effects, thrilling fight sequences, and a comprehensive story, “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” continues to build a huge mainstream following.

“Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” stars Digital Playground’s beautiful contract girls Jesse Jane®, Katsuni, Stoya™, Riley Steele™ and Gabriella Fox™. The film costars the talents of BellaDonna, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Shay Jordan™, Abbey Brooks, Shawna Lenee, Rhylee Richards, Brea Lynn, Shyla Stylez, and Veronica Rayne. Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn, and Steven St. Croix reprise their groundbreaking roles from the original “Pirates”. The film also includes industry studs Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Marco Banderas, Mick Blue, Ben English, and Charles Dera.

All hands are on deck for the epic, blockbuster “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge”, directed by award-winner Joone, and produced by Joone and his business partner Samantha Lewis. The film premiered at the heralded Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles and released on DVD on September 27 and Blu-ray on November 7. A MPAA R-rated version hit major retail stores like Blockbuster, Best Buy, and Albertsons, and e-tail sites like Amazon.com in February.
