from www.thejakartapost.com – The Jakarta police have arrested two people for allegedly distributing porn DVDs across Greater Jakarta area and confiscated 75,000 DVDs following a raid the police claimed as the biggest catch of the year.

“Just imagine, in 2009 we confiscated a total of 50,000 DVDs throughout a year, but today we successfully seized 75,000 DVDs in just one raid,” city police’s special crime unit head Sr. Comr. Agus Sutisna said Monday.

He added that the syndicate behind the DVD distribution had been running their operation since June last year.

The two suspects were arrested on Saturday when they were loading the porn DVDs to their box car parked in Taman Glodok Plaza, West Jakarta.

The police are now hunting down three other suspects for allegedly producing and supplying the illegal DVDs.
