WASHINGTON from www.courthousenews.com – A federal judge has called for further briefing on jurisdiction by filmmakers who made pornographic parodies of “X-Men” and “The Avengers,” as well as a fifth installment of “Massive Asses.”

Exquisite Multimedia, SBO Pictures, Patrick Collins Inc. [pictured] and Axel Braun Productions must prove that the federal court in Washington has jurisdiction over nondistrict residents who pirated their movies.

In four separate decisions, the court identifies these films as “Batman XXX: A Porn Parody,” “Massive Asses 5,” “XXX Avengers” and “Supergirl XXX An Extreme Comixxx Parody.”

If the movie companies can prove jurisdiction, then they can subpoena the IP addresses of numerous John Does behind the allegedly illegal online distribution of their movies over the Internet.
