Denise from www.hardcoremodeling.com writes: I wanted to let other smaller modeling companies know what just happened to me and not sure if your interested but attached is my story. I do not want a pissing match with Roy Garcia but I think others should be aware of the way he does business.
"I just wanted to write in and place a "WARNING" to smaller modeling companies as mine HardCoreModeling.com which is located in Arizona. I was contacted via email by a woman named Chelsea from Sexy Symbols Talent Management inquiring about one of my models. She stated her and her fiancé "Roy Garcia" had a client that wanted to shoot one of my models and they wanted to fly her out ASAP.
So I called Chelsea up and she explained to me they where doing a shoot for a client with busty girls and really wanted my model to perform in it and was she available? I told her let me contact her because I knew this model was taking a break for awhile and not sure if she was ready to do work again and also made her aware that this model has great breast but they are enhanced but still look very natural. Chelsea said that is not a problem that they saw her pictures on my site and where very impressed and still wanted her for this shoot. I was unable to reach the model and did not want to hold up their production after a week of trying I told Chelsea I did not want to hold them up and she stated they had another local model they can use if this model was not responding to my left messages about the work.
A week passed then I received another email this time from Roy Garcia stating he wanted this model because the client had his mind set on having her in his movie and also he like to get her other work while she was out in CA. So I called Roy this time and explained to him I was unable to get a hold of the model in demand because her phone was now shut off but I would go by her house and see if she was home and if anything I would leave a note for her to contact me about an important job.
I did this and two days later the model contacted me and said she was interested and apologized for not getting back to me sooner. This was fine I know everyone has lives and sometimes things come up, anyways I contact Roy again to tell him that the model is interested but her AIMS test was expired and he told me that is not a problem, I will fly her out and get her AIMS test done the day she comes out and have the results in time for the shoot. He also said she did not have to worry about a hotel that all the models stay at his big house. I agreed and told him I would be sending him an email on terms of my agency fee and the models information for the plane tickets. I received a confirmation back from Roy about her flight and also that he would like the model to contact him when she gets off the plane so he could come and get her.
I gave the model all the information, plus gave her Roy's number and also a good friend of mine who is in CA incase of emergency who would come get her if for any reason something was wrong since I have never done business with Roy before. Everything was set now and I told Roy my model is very excited and she would call him as soon as she got off the plane. I thought well thank god this worked out after me running around like crazy and in the end it seemed to go smoothly (or so I thought).
The model was scheduled to arrive in CA at 12:30pm, at 10:30am I missed a call and had a message from Roy stating what the hell is going on I did not hear from your model and I do not appreciate flakes. I thought maybe I missed something and the model backed out and told him, so I called him back immediately and was like is there a problem Im not aware of? Roy then stated "well your model did not call me like I asked and I do not appreciate flakes", I said "Well Roy she not due to land in CA till 12:30 and its 10:45am and in your email you told me to have her call you as soon as she stepped off the plane".
Roy then said "oh I meant to call me before she goes on her flight because then I know for sure she is on her way", ok so we had a miscommunication and I apologized because I was unaware that he wanted her to call him before she left. I did check with the airline and she is on the flight I told him and would be arriving in at 12:30pm. I told him can you have her call me or can I contact her at your home in the evening so I know things are going ok? He told me not a problem and he would have her call me tonight after he take her for her AIMS test and does a photo shoot with her to give pictures to some other producers he knows to get her some other work while she was out there.
Well the model flew out on Monday April 18th, 2005 and I never got a call from her that night so I decided to call Roy and see what was going on, no answer on Tues, Wed, or Thur and left message each day with no response. Finally I get a call Thur at 11pm from the model stating they would not let her use the phone and she really needed to talk to me. I like to state I am a small modeling business here in Arizona and I do have a lot of clients in AZ, CA, FL and even Hawaii. I am close with my girls and treat them all with respect and make sure they want to do the jobs I do find them before booking them.
The model proceeds to tell me that she did a shoot with out getting her complete AIMS test back; I was like you did what? Why would you do that? She informed me that Chelsea told her this is normal that her HIV was ok but her STD was being held up and it was ok to still shoot that she might be close to her menstrual cycle and that's why there is a hold up. I was very upset by this news, but what could I do if they talked her into still doing a shoot without a complete AIMS test back.
Then she told me please don't be mad but another model that is staying here told me that I don't need an agent or need to be on a site with any agency that I can get my own work. I was like ok? So are you telling me you want out of your contract, she said yes and I said Roy is not placing this information in your head, she stated no because he agreed with the girl and he does not do talent at all anymore. She also said she has no money because they did the scene but Roy told her he would pay her on Monday. I was like why Monday if you did the scene already she really wouldn't answer me and also she did tell me Roy was nasty with her stating he never knew her breast where enhanced and told her she was wasting his time but then calmed down and did the shoot. Well after 30mins on the phone I was very upset to hear this news but I will not hold back any models decision to leave.
In the end I was never paid my agency fee from Roy Garcia and also went to his website www.sstm.com and magically this model who stated Roy does not help talent is now on his site when she is still under contract for www.hardcoremodeling.com.
In the end I did some research and found a lot of bad information about Roy Garcia or Peter Romero whatever names he uses and just wanted other small modeling companies to be warned not to do business with him because he is not like professional companies who do upfront business as World Modeling and LA Direct. Roy Garcia comments: "She [Denise] sent me a girl that supposedly had real breasts to shoot for a real breast website. It took her three weeks to get the girl here. When the girl got here she had fake boobs. That was a lie, and that's what pissed me off." I tell Garcia that the story, according to Denise, is that the girl is now with his agency. "Maybe," he comments. "If she chooses to be. But she came here to do a job and go home and get paid. That's exactly what I did with her. I'm sending her back on Tuesday. Hardcore Modeling will get their agency check. But if she chooses to come back here and work for me, she's welcome to. I was hired to shoot this girl. I did and I'm paying Hardcore Modeling. But I'm pissed off after waiting three weeks to get this girl. She [Denise] never told me this girl had fake boobs. The person that should be pissed off isme. But everything else we agreed to is fine."
And Garcia's making no bones of the fact that the model in question is now listed on his agency site, www.sstm.com. "She said she wanted me to represent her. I said okay. I'll represent her if she wants me to."
Garcia said he was also approached to split commissions. "I never agreed to do that," he says. "She [Denise] wanted me to charge the girl 25% and split commission with her. I don't have time for that. I'm not going to agree to that. She [Denise] wanted me to take the money out of the girl's check. I said that's illegal for me to do and I'm not going to do it. I'm the producer. I'm going to pay her and then I'm going to pay the agency fee.
"This girl came here totally unprepared," Garcia continues. "She didn't know how much she was getting paid. We agreed on $700 but she thought it was $800. I'm giving her $800 anyways and I'm sending her home like I said. I paid for her round trip ticket. She's going home. She said she wanted me to represent her after that. I said, fine, if you want me to. But I'm not going to work out a deal with your old agent in Arizona. She said she's not my agent anymore that she fuckin' hates that girl [Denise]. She [Denise] supposedly lied to the girl telling her she met me and drove out here. There's a long list of lies that's ridiculous. I'm here to shoot. I shot. She's done with the shoot and I'm sending her home. She said she's moving out here and when she does she wants me to represent her. She's got to go back to Arizona to get her shit together. But I never made a deal with her agent to take out 25% of this girl's check. I don't need to split commissions with anybody. I can find hot girls by myself. I don't need to split commissions with any out of state agent."
