Mickey Skee [pictured] who used to be an editor at AVN writes on www.examiner.com: The GayVN Show that awards the best in gay and bisexual porn is being held this coming weekend in San Francisco, and I’ll be there to tell you about it. But, in the meantime, we’ll spend the week talking about and looking at bisexuality as it pertains to the adult entertainment industry—and some of the people involved in it.
Some of them are close personal friends of mine, and some of them I expect to see this coming weekend, but all of them are porn stars in their own right. They’re listed in order of the amount of titles they’re in, including trannie, fetish, gay, bi, lesbian, hetero, tickling, S&M and more (bet you didn’t know there were so many genres!)
Sharon Kane, the longest-working bi porn starlet with more than 1,000 titles to her name and a great songstress and musician, too. She also appears in a “freak” video where she has two working penises! She used to live downstairs from me and is still a close friend.
Drew Andrews, married with children, he has more than 500 titles to his credits.
Geoffrey Karen Dior, the first HIV-positive transgendered adult film star to come out about his status, and performed as Rick Van as a man. A good friend who died in 2004, I encouraged Geoff to write his memoirs in “Sleeping Under the Stars.”
Jeff Stryker, calls himself “just sexual,” doesn’t like labels, but has a type of guy he likes. He’s still the biggest guy in porn for a lot of reasons, not just one.
John Holmes, couldn’t keep his long appendage to just the girls, and loved whipping it out.
Sharon Mitchell, a nurse by trade, she done it every possible way over three decades. She’s an activist who champions HIV testing in all forms of porn, not just in gay and bi porn.
Ryan Idol, a Tom Cruise look-alike in younger days, he grew into being bi through porn.
Vince Rockland, he brought his two brothers into porn for a while, but then he found God. He’s also on the cover of a Bad Boys book.
Nina Hartley, a blonde swinger in real life, she debuted in “Educating Nina” at 19 in 1984 and now directs. She’s the grand dame of porn who made it fashionable to be bi. (I was honored one year when she came to my birthday party with Sharon Kane!)
Ken Ryker, kids used to call him “firehose” at gym in school, now he’s figured out what to do with it. Read all about him in a hard-to-find now out of print book, The Films of Ken Ryker, where he’s exposed in a lot of different ways.
Tina Tyler, enchanting brunette who’s good at switching from coy librarian to whipping dominatrix in an instant.
Jeanna Fine, a fiery temptress who always seemed to like it more with girls, but she’s a good Mom.
Gino Colbert, made the switch from star to director and always shows he loves the ladies as well as the gents.
Johan Paulik and Lukas Ridgeston are the beautiful Eastern European studs who have wowed audiences of all persuasions, and both of them are bi and are personally attached to women now.
