Chicago- A Chicago woman who worked on a yet-to-be-released movie starring Heather Graham, John Corbett, and Jerry O’Connell is suing the Illinois-based independent production company, saying the producer sexually harassed her for months before abruptly firing her when she refused his advances.

The lawsuit said that during the three months Jill Sandmire was producer Emilio Ferrari’s personal assistant, he repeatedly groped her, slapped her buttocks, asked her to massage his back and shoulders and told her she “would look really hot” if she got breast implants.

Sandmire also alleged in the lawsuit that Ferrari asked her to buy him condoms and asked her as she and other employees were at a strip club to obtain a stripper’s phone number because he wanted to have sex with her.

There was no response to an e-mail message sent to Ferrari, and a family member of Russell Scalise, the registered agent for the production company, said he was not immediately available to comment Wednesday.

Scalise was an executive producer on the film, according to a Tribune story in March.

Sandmire said in the lawsuit that she repeatedly told Ferrari to stop and that when she asked a production coordinator to transfer her to another department, Ferrari prevented it. She said she was fired Feb. 9.

The lawsuit, which does not name Ferrari as a defendant, identifies the movie as “Baby on Board.”
