Raided in March, Rick’s Tally Ho is sold to owner of Tonawanda strip club

New York – from www.buffalonews.com – The owner of a Town of Tonawanda strip club has acquired Rick’s Tally Ho strip club in Cheektowaga.

David Scrivani bought the property, through a company called 5111 Genesee St. — the address of the club— for $750,000, according to county records.

Richard A. Snowden, who sold the property through an entity called Rade Holding, declined to disclose the entire value of the transaction, which would be a price reflecting how much the business is worth.

Scrivani owns Tiffany’s Cabaret at 300 Sawyer Ave., as well as another Tiffany’s in Myrtle Beach, S. C. Snowden said that Rick’s Tally Ho will eventually be renamed Tiffany’s and that Scrivani will apply for a liquor license for the club. The clubs feature semi-nude dancers.

“I think he’s going to do good things,” Snowden said.

Samuel P. Puleo, an attorney for Scrivani, said his client’s plans for the property will be “rolled out in the near future,” but he declined to elaborate. The deal closed last week.

Snowden had been trying to sell Rick’s Tally Ho after deciding to exit the nightclub business and move out of the area. He recently sold his home, the prestigious Miller Mansion on Nottingham Terrace, for $1.7 million, a record high for a residence sold in the City of Buffalo.

Rick’s Tally Ho was the target of a March raid by police and federal agents as part of an investigation into drug dealing and prostitution at the club. Another club in Hamburg (24KT Gold) that Snowden has no connection to also was raided.

Snowden was not implicated in the case, and he said following the raid that he has no involvement with drugs and always tried to keep prostitution from occurring in his club.

In late March, the State Liquor Authority revoked his nightclub’s license to sell liquor. The club has remained open.

While Snowden was forbidden to apply for a new liquor license for two years, another operator was allowed to buy or lease the property and apply for a new license.

In a Buffalo News story several years ago, Scrivani was identified as co-owner of a chain of stores that sold adult videos. Puleo declined to discuss his client’s business holdings.
