Industry professionals are reminded that deadlines are approaching for pre-nominations for the 2027 AVN Awards and the 2027 GayVN Awards. Submissions for jury-voted categories for both events close on September 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT, with no extensions planned.

AVN Awards Pre-Nominations

Pre-nominations for the 2027 AVN Awards are currently open. Adult industry members have until September 15 to submit their pre-nominations via the AVN Awards Pre-Nomination Site at submissions.avn.com. This deadline applies to jury-voted categories.

The 2027 AVN Awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2027, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and will be presented by MyFreeCams.

The pre-nomination site will close promptly at 11:59 p.m. PT on September 15. This deadline does not affect the traditional release deadline of September 30 for submitted material. Work or product slated for release between September 15 and September 30 may still be submitted prior to release via the Pre-Nom Site, and the work or product itself can be delivered to AVN any time through the traditional release deadline.

Those previously approved to use the Pre-Nom Site can use their existing login for this year's submissions. Individuals without a previously approved login must apply for access.

Approved users may submit a maximum of five pre-nominations in any one category. Participants are urged to carefully select their submissions, limiting them to the "very best of the best selections within a given category."

Clarification on categories is available by mousing over the question mark beside each one on the Pre-Nom Site, or by accessing detailed descriptions. AVN also advises submitters to carefully review the eligibility rules for production categories in the Video section, specifically Movie/Series and Scene/Featurette categories. Producers wishing to send physical copies of their submitted productions for consideration are asked to deliver two copies of each submitted title to the AVN office by September 30. Pre-nominations for the 2027 FAN-VOTED AVN AWARDS will remain open until September 20 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

AVN Awards Eligibility Metrics

For video categories, a release must have been made available commercially between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026. This commercial availability must be via at least one of the following qualifying methods or platforms: a membership site, VOD/streaming site, DVD, or broadcast network. For full-length movie categories, submissions should include two qualifying release methods.

GayVN Awards Pre-Nominations

Pre-nominations for the 2027 GayVN Awards are also open. Industry members may request access to submit pre-nominations for this event using the same application form as for the AVN Awards. Eligible industry professionals have one month to submit movies, scenes, and performers for consideration.

The submission window for the 2027 GayVN Awards is scheduled to close promptly at 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2026. Organizers have stated that there will be no extension of this deadline.

The 2027 GayVN Awards ceremony is scheduled for January 21, 2027, in Las Vegas.
