Rose Slams Guests of PSKclub

Rose on AdultBeat.com writes:

Imagine if you would, some of the biggest names in La La Land, run of the mill motion picture stars who make multi-megabucks per movie that is, opting for public nightlife in a tiny karaoke bar/restaurant half the size of your average pizza joint.

Just because X is the, well, let’s say most openminded letter in the entertainment alphabet, does that mean that it is all well and good for porn stars to carouse in public in an unsecure, cramped space with a SRO mob of lustful fans?

Now, we all know the porn industry likes to be easily accessible to the public, what with conventions, special events and even starlets who work in brothels to please their fans. But scaled down to the too-close-for comfort confines of a local 3nd rate hangout, this is not a good idea for obvious security reasons.

I say this because of the latest news concerning a talent known as Lisa The lesbian who was slipped a tainted drink at Sardos, a karaoke bar I used to frequent before it was taken over by porno pussy.

I confess. I never liked the place. The stage was too small. The diner area was more makeshift than atmospheric. In short, it was nothing more than an oversized bar that had no business outgrowing its use as a lowbrow drunkard den that served a greasy spoon menu as a coverup.

When I went there, the place was experimenting with KJs, only one of which fixed the sound to my liking. My last stint there saw a pretty airheaded babe auditioning. So it became obvious that the venue was in the process of lowering its standards to draw customers.

And now it is porn’s official karaoke in-spot. I believe I was the first patron from the adult scene to go to the place. But not the last. Unfortunately.

Someday, I predict the worst if the industry does not hold its own private parties out of the reaches of the general public and unsafe elements that dwell within.

We have to realize that some porn fans are social desperados who can’t get laid. Add a little booze and bad music to the mix and you’re looking at a powderkeg waiting to expload.

When I think of Sardos, I am reminded of that rock bar dump back east in Rhode Island that was burned to the ground in a fire. Unless it plans an extension upgrade, it will continue to strike me as an unruly, crowd time bomb waiting to be lit.

Don’t get me wrong. I like a night on the town just like the next guy. But porn shouldn’t strut its stuff in a place like Sardos. We’re better than that. There are more upscale venues in the west Porn Valley that would serve better.

Besides, there are moguls in this biz who can afford to foot the bill for an industry nightclub. We can do better than to put our talent at risk in a watering hole in the wall meant for karaoke barflies.

Hey Hank, good piece, well written. Since AriaXXX and I began hanging out at Sardos just for a fun night out, it has grown into quite the “scene” for folks in the adult industry. I wouldn’t however be so “above” attending the little hole in the wall, in fact I think that’s what gives PSKclub it’s charm. If you move this party to a Barfly or some other trendy night club and then it becomes just as boring and annoying as a mainstream promotion. While the fan ratio has out numbered adult personalities in the last four to six weeks, we seemed to have nipped it in the bud last night by charging single males a door fee.

Many people were turned away angry, but as a result, mostly industry and a good mix of male and female attended last night. In fact, I believe it was one of the best nights we had where I can say comfortably that 80% of the bar was industry only.

This is not a KSEX sponsored event, so we can’t close the doors on the public. We just started going there and people followed. Quite honestly, I thought it was nearing it’s finish due to too many annoying fans and last week’s drug scare. But after seeing the success of last night, seeing Lisa the Lesbian return to support the event…this will probably continue for quite some time. A “mickey” can be slipped in anyone’s drink at any bar. People just need to watch their cocktails and not allow random strangers to bring them libations. Sardos added more security and the drink staff is on alert. They’re good people over there.

These stars you speak of aren’t people from the royal family. Whether they hang out at The Standard or they hang out at Sardos, as long as they’re having a good time, it makes no difference at all.
