VINELAND – A Vineland school aide quit the pornography industry last year before taking part-time jobs working with children, according to her former magazine editor.
Louisa Tuck, a part-time school aide at D’Ippolito Elementary School known in porn circles as Crystal Gunns, posed for no nude photos or videos in Score magazine after 2007, Score Editor Dave Rosenbaum said in an e-mail. Most of her pornography work has appeared in Score, a Florida-based publication for which she was a model and columnist.
“As I said, we haven’t shot photos of her in a long time, and we’re the only magazines/videos she did for many, many years,” Rosenbaum wrote in the e-mail.
The Vineland School District hired Tuck in June. An undisclosed number of parents complained to school officials after learning Tuck and Gunns were the same person, but many have treated the revelations of her prior career with indifference.
What was unclear, however, was whether pornography was Tuck’s past career or present one. Her Web site, CrystalGunns.com, remains online, and pornographic photos were posted to it as recently as this summer. Tuck earned Score Model of the Year honors in 2008, but the photos were shot last year, Rosenbaum said.
Rosenbaum said Tuck became a columnist for his magazine not just because she was popular, but also because she was honest and articulate.
“In my seven years in this business, I have never dealt with a model who was more honest, more professional and had more integrity than Louisa,” Rosenbaum wrote. “She was always honest in her dealings with me and the company. Was she a stripper and a porn star? Yes, absolutely. Does that keep her from being a good person? I hope not.”
The Vineland school board meets Wednesday and has no plans to discuss Tuck, who continues to work for the district.
