Porn Valley- In a solidly packed two hours of entertainment that included a visit from Katie Gold, Wankus on his Wednesday night KSEX show, www.ksexradio.com addressed the sexual harassment issue which is a topic of conversation right now in the adult business. Two companies are specifically under fire- New Sensations and AVN.
"People in the porn world are crying sexual harassment- former employees," reported Wankus. Co-ho Katie Morgan was quick to point out that the industry hosts a certain amount of inappropriate behavior as it is. "But it's porn for crissake."
Wankus said he's not sure why sexual harassment has become such a popular trend. "It used to be of the mindset that you can't have sexual harassment in a sexual job." Morgan said you can. "There is an amount if inappropriateness that goes around," she conceded. But it was Wankus' feeling that it would be tough to have a conservative judge side with a porn star. [However the two issues at hand now in the industry don't involve porn stars.]
"The definition of sexual harassment is unwarranted sexual advancements by the ugly guy," he said, boiling it down to basics. "I think we need to be true to the definition of what it really is. You know damn well that when the hot guy in the office says, damn, girl, you have a great ass, you're not sexually harassed by that. You're calling your friends saying, holy shit, that fucking cute guy just said I had a great ass. But if some ugly Bill Fox looking bastard says you've got a great ass you're going to call your friends and say do you believe that fat fuck said my ass is nice! Am I wrong?" His voice ringing triumphant with the impression that he was right, Wankus said it must be made clear in the future that what you're talking about is "ugly man harassment."
"Someone you're not attracted to has made advancements you didn't like." Wankus and Morgan both agreed that it works both ways with Wankus noting that ugly girls have hit on him. "And it makes me fucking sick. I put on a fake smile and walk away. That fuckin' bike ridin' dyke whore just grabbed my dick! It's a double standard. It means sexual advances by the ugly ones."
Offering a mainstream example, Wankus set a scenario in a legal office. "You're my legal secretary and I'm one of the lawyers. I walk trough the office and say, goddamn, Katie, your breasts look hot today. Is that sexual harassment?" Morgan said perhaps because a weird word was used. Substituting the word tits for breasts, Wankus made a case that the comment would be regarded as inappropriateness not harassment. "Harassment is REPEATED- it means unwarranted sexual advancements, more than once. But you would win and you would shut down my law firm for that one comment."
Wankus said he would know because he went through similar shit with a dry cleaning company he owned awhile back. "We had someone cry sexual harassment against some of the people in our company. It was a real ugly situation." Wankus said there was no sexual harassment but had to settle up and pay to avoid the bullshit. "Here was an idiot that cried foul and was wrong and we paid them off. I hate that." Wankus pointed out that it was a phony allegation and had nothing to do with comments about tits. "Nobody went near this ugly bitch." Wankus' ongoing contention is that the term sexual harassment is "too loose".
"They have to tighten it up on what it really is," he said. "If you tell me it bothers you and then I speak that way to you and then I persist. It's considered harassment and I should be put in check." Referencing the three year time frame as seen in the New Sensations suit, Wankus said, "Why'd you stay there three fuckin' years for, if it was really that big of a problem? I had to feed my kids, well, so what."
