from www.gather.com – Shauna Sand, most famous for being Lorenzo Lamas’ ex-wife, is the most recent “star” (said sarcastically) to have a sextape surface on the internet. Powerhouse porn producers Vivid have just opened a website to promote the Shauna Sand video, with a release date set for October 19th.

To complicate matters, Shauna Sand has openly stated she has made the video but states Vivid does not have the rights to distribute said video. Shauna Sand is contacting her lawyer to stop the video, but I’m doubting the website or video will be pulled.

Why do I doubt this, you might ask. Well, says I, because from what I’ve seen of Shauna Sand and the video promo (no, I’m not proud of admitting I looked at it) this looks calculated. We’ve all seen them before: The starlet desperate to stay relevant, willing to do anything to stay in the public consciousness. And hell, in this day in age, sex tapes launch careers (Kim Kardashian, I’m looking your direction). And as others have pointed out, the production on the Shauna Sand video is too good to be on done on the fly. This is professional work, and I’m betting the video gets released and she gets a nice “settlement” – the type of settlement that’s worked out ahead of time if you’ll take my meaning.
