LOS ANGELES CA / MEDFORD OR – Pop culture fans who came of age during the mid-70s witnessed both the rise and fall of progressive rock, the much-maligned musical genre that’s often lumped together unfairly with art rock, symphonic rock, and progressive heavy metal.
In short, progressive artists tried to take the roots of rock and apply them to a more classically influenced structure. The music was often very elaborate and the lyrics tended to deal with mystical and often medieval themes. Nowhere was this more obvious than in ELO’s ELDORADO, a concept album that traced the adventure of a glorious castle-born princess (dubbed “The Ocean’s Daughter”) through a mythical realm populated by such luminaries as “Robin Hood & sweet Maid Marion, William Tell, Ivanhoe and Lancelot.”
Now, thirty-two years after ELDORADO’s assimilation into popular history, an acclaimed & equally beloved princess of a radically different kind will be “shining her silver light” down upon a new kingdom, as AVN Award-winning WICKED PICTURES contract performer & director STORMY DANIELS will be ascending her throne at Medford Oregon’s CASTLE MEGASTORE this Friday evening, April 28th, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM!
The regal festivities will begin early Friday during morning drive time on Medford’s popular KBOY FM RADIO, where the buxom blonde royal will address such recent triumphs as co-hosting the XRCO Awards last week in Century City (where she also won an award as the year’s top “crossover” adult star, an award she had also snared the week prior from ADAM FILM WORLD, thanks to her appearance in the $100 million grossing Steve Carell vehicle THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN), and her new self-penned MICHAEL RAVEN-directed Wicked release, WATCHING SAMANTHA.
In the airtime remaining, the Princess Of All Media may just have enough time to reflect on other glittering prizes, such as her fistful of 2006 AVN Awards (for both her supporting role in and writing contributions to Wicked Pictures’ THE CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE) and her appearances at such high-profile events as WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE 2006 in South Miami Beach, the Grammy Awards, the Rolling Stone / US Magazine Academy Awards after party, and a stellar collaboration with renowned rapper / actor Busta Rhymes that found the two hosting one of Las Vegas’ hottest nights of the year at TAO Nightclub!
