from www.tucsoncity.com - Tuesday night's Mayor and Council meeting had strippers from the Bunny Ranch show up to protest the raising of the stripping age to 21.
Bunny ranch employees demand justice.
About half a dozen citizens and female taxpayers exercised their First Amendment rights and told the council that they are strongly opposed to the ordinance, and made some really good points.
At the age of 18, US citizens are legally considered adults, and they will be tried as adults if they break the law. They are allowed to vote for the President of the United States, fight and die in our wars, and yet the council wants them to wait until 21 to do what they are able to do now?
Basically the arguments are similar to the reasoning/challenge to the drinking age being 21.
I offer no opinion on this one, just reporting what you missed at Tuesday’s council meeting. Oh yeah, and some dressed up older ladies sang a protest song regarding planes at DM flying overhead…
