Peachtree City police have arrested a Georgia Tech student on charges that he arranged over the Internet to meet a 14-year-old girl to have sex.
The student, identified as Miguel Velazquez, actually was chatting online with a police officer.
The meeting was to take place at the Wal-Mart in the city south of Atlanta.
But Valazquez got lost and stopped by the Peachtree City Library to use a computer and was arrested there, police said.
Georgia Tech officials said they are checking on his status as a student.
Last month, Peachtree City police arrested a man who works as a youth minister and school bus driver for trying to arrange a sexual encounter with a teenage girl who turned out to be an undercover police officer.
Mohammed Bolton, 31, of McDonough made contact with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl over the Internet, police said.
Officers arrested him at the Wal-Mart store, where he was to meet the girl.
In March, Peachtree City police arrested Pike County's superintendent of school after he was accused of using the Internet to entice what he thought was a 15-year-old into a sexual encounter.
Earnest Darryl Dean, 43, of Zebulon was charged with engaging in computer pornography and child exploitation.
