Las Vegas- Legendary adult performer and Vavoom Film contract star Sunset Thomas was the special guest of filmmaker John Corey at the prestigious CineVegas Film Festival at the Palms in Las Vegas on Monday. Corey, who directed the documentary “Lost In The Fog” (one of only two documentaries selected by CineVegas) knew of the Vegas celebrities ties to the horse’s owner and trainer (Harry Aleo and Greg Gilchrist).
Lost In the Fog, arguably one of the greatest sprinters in equine history, was stabled just down shed-row from the Aleo/Gilchrist filly Sunset Thomas.
“I have a wonderful photo from the winners circle at Golden Gate Fields when Foggy won the Golden Bear Breeders Cup race on May 14th, 2005. A photo of myself and trainer Greg Gilchrist (from that same afternoon) appeared on the front page of the Contra Costa Times two weeks later as part of the feature story about the horse they named after me!
“I cried so much during the film that tears literally washed those 33 black lashes right off my eyes!”
Added Corey, “I’ve seen the film at least 100 times, but after meeting Sunset on Saturday, I noticed during the premiere that in the scene where we show the Aleo/Gilchrist equine ledger, the top name on the list is Sunset Thomas—referring to the horse, of course.”
