STOCKHOLM, Sweden — The former owner of a Swedish porn club says he has embarrassing photos of King Carl XVI Gustaf and plans to post them online when his memoirs are published.

Mille Markovic, a reputed member of organized crime, told Swedish news agency TT Tuesday the book should be out within a few months. He is working with several writers, including Deanne Rauscher, a co-author of “The Reluctant Monarch,” a biography of the king.

The king, in an interview with TT Monday, denied visiting porn clubs.

The Left Party has called for a truth commission to establish whether Markovic is telling the truth.

“Now we’re in a situation where word stands against word and it’s clear that there are many who are lying while the king is telling the truth. I still think we should dig deeper and investigate the matter,” said Lena Olsson, a member of the Left Party who sits on the justice committee in the Riksdag or parliament.

Olsson has called for the king to stand down from the Foreign Affairs Committee temporarily on the grounds that he could be blackmailed if Markovic is telling the truth.
