from www.irishcentral.com – The British porn star Tanya Tate has said she is firmly against the Labour Party politician Pat Rabbitte’s plans to follow the UK by blocking porn websites in Ireland.

Tate, who famously had a professional relationship with GAA star, Wexford hurler Greg Jacob, said she believes these “filth filters” Rabbitte is proposing should are a form of censorship and illustrates a failure in parenting.

Speaking during her Sex Tour of Ireland, Tate (34) told the Sun “I think it is very frightening and wrong that these restrictions should be imposed.

“I wholeheartedly agree that children should be kept away from adult material, but I believe it is the responsibility of parents to monitor what their children are getting into.

“Why should my, or any other responsible person’s, viewing habits be restricted because others choose an autopilot approach to parenting?”

Tate also expressed her disgust at Prime Minister David Cameron’s similar plans for the United Kingdom.

She said “I think it’s a real shame that the lack of responsibility of a few curtails the freedoms of others.

“The money would be better spent on providing education and encouraging parents to be more involved in the lives of their children, instead of relying on Government imposed barriers.”

The pornstar added “My industry is under fire now because of the ISP blocking system on adult entertainment.

“People will automatically encounter ‘family friendly’ filters and have to initiate steps to access adult material. Of course it’s not something I can agree with.”

The Liverpudlian star continued “People need to be more accepting of porn generally.

“Everyone has sex and the porn industry is a massive industry, so obviously people watch it.”
