from www.sfgate.com - James Raphael Mitchell was back in Marin County Superior court on Friday, where he entered an innocent plea on charges of murdering his girlfriend, Danielle Keller, and kidnapping their infant baby daughter, Samantha.
Mitchell's attorney Terence Hallinan, [pictured, delayed the plea entry for nearly two weeks because Hallinan wanted to have more time to review the evidence against Mitchell.
Keller's mother Claudia Stevens, pictured below, was again in the courtroom. She's been a steady presence at court since Mitchell's arrest and is seeking custody of baby Samantha.
Mitchell--the son of infamous porn empire head Jim Mitchell--allegedly killed Keller with a baseball bat before fleeing with their daughter on July 12. He's expected back in court at the end of August for a bail hearing.
There will be a benefit event on Monday, July 27 at the Hamilton Cafe in Novato. The restaurant will donate 10% of their food sales for a fund for Samantha.
