TORRANCE, Calif. - A Redondo Beach mother facing trial for allegedly running an Internet-based call-girl service with her husband was charged last week for allegedly committing the same crimes while out on bail.

Jill Ellen McGrath, 36, remained jailed on $1 million bail and was scheduled to be arraigned this week in Superior Court, said Deputy District Attorney Michael Gargiulo.

McGrath and her husband, Christopher "Chili" Davis, 35, were charged in December http://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=1824 with pimping and pandering for allegedly running a service that set up $600-an-hour sexual encounters. McGrath was arrested during a traffic stop near her home.

Davis is being sought by authorities.

Both had been ordered in June to stand trial for allegedly operating the sex service out of their Redondo Beach home.

They were originally arrested after an undercover detective called a telephone number, arranged a meeting with an escort and arrested her when she took off her clothes for sex, according to testimony at the couple's preliminary hearing.

Investigators said they recently obtained evidence the couple was running a new Web site. Undercover detectives in a sting operation at an El Segundo hotel arranged a rendezvous with a woman depicted on the Internet site.

The woman was arrested for allegedly soliciting an act of prostitution, authorities said.

McGrath and Davis have two children, ages 14 months and 7, who have been placed in the custody of the county Department of Children and Family Services.

Police said the couple employed between 25 and 30 women and had about 1,000 clients. McGrath and Davis had denied that they offered prostitution services.

"We've dealt with prostitution rings, but nothing of this caliber," police said.

Most of the women involved with the website led other lives as students, housewives, fitness trainers and professionals in various occupations, he said.
