VENICE, CA – Before the 2012 AVN Awards Brooklyn Lee was on the red carpet working as a correspondent for Hot Video, but by the end of the night she was the one everyone wanted to interview.
By the close of the ceremony, she had accumulated five wins, including the coveted Best New Starlet award. Joining the ranks of industry legends, Brooklyn now holds the most coveted award the adult industry has to offer a new star.
“This has been the craziest week of my life,” Brooklyn said. “Never in a million years did I expect to win Best New Starlet. I thought a joke was being played and proceeded to ask everyone in sight if I had indeed won.
“Thank you so, so much to AVN, the voters, John Stagliano, Evil Angel, Mike Moz, Rising Star PR…I could go on forever. Thank you so very much for making a Midwestern girl’s dreams come true.”
Speaking of dreams, TMZ jokingly likened her “I feel like I’m dreaming” AVN Award acceptance speech to Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech and named it the “Epic Speech” from the show.
