St. Louis- They were looking for some dirty dancing.
But what three Maryland Heights men got was much different!
They were held up at gunpoint after responding to an “exotic dancer” ad on Craigslist.
Detectives tell us the three men in their 20’s answered an exotic dancer ad in the erotic services section of the St. Louis Craigslist early Friday morning.
27 year old Jessica Blackburn [pictured] responded to the men’s home on eleven thousand nine hundred block of Midvale Drive in Maryland Heights.
Police say she went inside and basically cased the home for a few minutes.
Then cops tell us Blackburn left and returned moments later with two men armed with guns-20 year old Eddrick Harris and 21 year old Perry Richardson.
Police say the trio then stole several hundred dollars from the men.
The suspects were arrested a short time later after one of the victims was able to dive out a window and call 911.
“It kind of scared the heck out of me. I won’t answer my door at three or four o’clock in the morning unless I know who it is,” said Larry O’Brien who lives nearby.
Maryland Heights Police say what happened here should serve as a wake-up call to anyone using Craigslist.
Captain Scott Will with the Maryland Heights Police said, “You’ve just got to be careful and realize you have no idea who’s on the other end of that computer talking to you. And this case is a good example. They thought they were hiring what they believed to be an exotic dancer and they wound up inviting armed robbery suspects to their house.”
Police recovered two handguns and the stolen money.
None of the victims was hurt.
All three suspects are facing robbery and armed criminal action charges.
Harris and Richardson are also facing burglary counts.
