Evidently it's alright for altar boys to come out of the sacristy 30, 40 years later and accuse priests of giving them blow jobs...but in the Coz case, it's different. By the way, the DA mentioned in this case, Risa Vetri Ferman, was originally tied to the Natel King murder case and had made some very caustic remarks about the adult video industry before she was taken off it for reasons never explained.
Philadelphia- Bill Cosby caught a break yesterday when a prosecutor suggested that one of the two women who claim the funnyman doped and groped them waited too long to tell her tawdry tale.
"Generally, an accusation from over 30 years ago is not going to be considered admissible in court or relevant to an investigation," said Risa Vetri Ferman, an assistant district attorney in Montgomery County, Pa.
Ferman was referring to 57-year-old California lawyer Tamara Green's assertion that Cosby put the moves on her three decades ago after giving her two knockout pills.
A former model, Green went public after learning that Cosby was under investigation for allegedly plying 31-year-old Andrea Constand with an "herbal medication" and molesting her while she was woozy.
Green's credibility took a hit yesterday when the California state Bar Association revealed she enrolled in a mental health and substance abuse program for lawyers in October.
Cosby, 67, insists he never met Green, who claims the comedian came on to her when she worked in his Los Angeles nightclub. Cosby also has denied assaulting Constand, whom he met when she was working for the women's basketball program at Temple University.
Prosecutors are expected to decide this week whether to charge Cosby with sexual misconduct.
The Philadelphia Daily News reported yesterday that prosecutors have tapes of Cosby offering Constand's mother hush money after her daughter told Canadian cops her story on Jan. 13.
