[Boston Herald] Do not mess with a mother who packs heat.
Ex-professional wrestler, ex-adult entertainment star Sandra Scott [Tiffany Million] headlines “Wife, Mom, Bounty Hunter."
This unscripted series is more than a female version of A & E’s popular “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
In the one-hour premiere (subsequent episodes are a half-hour long), during one stakeout, she barks at a cameraman to lower his camera - and he obeys. Now that’s authority.
Scott runs a bounty hunting operation and a family in the suburbs of Phoenix with equal parts tough love.
Her family consists of her jailbait-looking husband, Ron (referred to in the opening credits as “the big kid,” he’s 11 years younger than her), 15-year-old daughter Sabree (referred to as the drama queen) and 6-year-old Ever-Skye, who splits her time between Mom and her biological dad.
She orders her husband to set up a water slide for a birthday party and then playfully grabs his ass.
Next week, she takes one collar to get something to eat and even reunites her with her mother before hauling her to jail.
Her worlds often collide, with unpredictable, messy results that any working mother will understand.
Just before she’s about to apprehend a felon, she learns Sabree’s favorite dog was killed by another animal. Choking back emotion, she tells her husband on her cell phone, “Just do the right thing and have him cremated.”
Apprehending the felon is one thing. Scott gets lost on the way to the new jail. The perp makes a series of blonde jokes from the back seat that leaves everyone laughing.
The first two episodes do not explain how Scott made the transition from porn star to crime fighter. Nor do they give any insight as to why Scott chose such a dangerous line of work in a state, according to her, in which 50 percent of the households have weapons.
“Do I ever get scared? I’m sure I do, but I’m not aware of it,” she says after one successful operation.
Scott may come off as overcaffeinated at times, but she’s one of the most likable “reality” stars in recent years. From certain angles, she resembles gold digger Lauri Waring of Bravo’s unscripted series “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
Come to think of it, that would be one crossover worth the cable bill. For now, settle on Scott cleaning up the streets of Arizona.
