from www.myce.com – Adult entertainment provider Perfect 10 has never been one to take copyright infringement lying down. It has litigiously pushed back against allegedly illicit sites several times in the past. The problem is, the company consistently loses its legal battles. History may repeat itself soon.

Perfect 10’s new target is MegaUpload – a site which specializes in file storage. The complaint – which can be seen in all its 22-page glory here – levels six different violations, including copyright infringement and trademark dilution, against the cyberlocker, its proprietor Kim Schmitz and 100 unnamed individuals.

The complaint goes on to describe MegaUpload and its branches as “pirate websites that sell access to large amounts of of unauthorized intellectual property to the public without paying the rightful owners of that property.”

MegaUpload isn’t worried, telling TorrentFreak in a statement, “We will file a motion shortly to dismiss the case. Our legal team is confident that we have nothing to worry about and they are working on a countersuit.”

“Countersuit” is a dirty word for Perfect 10. The company was hit with a particularly seething one last summer by then-defendant, RapidShare. Besides labeling the content provider a “copyright troll,” RapidShare also criticized Perfect 10’s business acumen – or lack thereof. The case was eventually dismissed.

Perfect 10 has also unsuccessfully sued Google.
