Hollywood, CA- SexZ Pictures laid their cards on the table this year with the futuristic thriller Upload and came away with a royal flush in leading the adult movie industry with 22 AVN award nominations including Best Video Feature, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best High-Definition Production and Best Director for the Eli Cross helmed epic.
In addition, the company also earned six additional award nominations including /*contract stars Hillary Scott and Paulina James for Female Performer of the Year and for Best New Starlet respectively.
Major award winners for last year’s politically inspired Corruption, SexZ Pictures has quickly risen from a producer of teen influenced movies to major player in the feature movie category and with Upload at a reported $375,000 cost, the company is committed to entertaining their audience in a blockbuster type of way.
“Upload is really a masterpiece in everyway possible and we’re very happy that we’ve received this much attention from the AVN nominations committee,” stated SexZ Pictures CEO Bo Kenney. “This will help spread the word that Upload is really an epic adult movie that everyone should see much like what happened with Corruption last year.”
Starring Best Actress nominee Eva Angelina and Best Supporting Actress nominee and reigning 2007 Female Performer of the Year Hillary Scott, the talented duo provides a powerful one-two punch that showcases their many special gifts in a way not normally associated with an adult movie.
“These girls can really act quite well,” Kenney remarked. “We’ve always known that both of them can perform amazing sex scenes but what we learned from Hillary this past year with respect to acting chops, we’re now seeing with Eva,” Kenney praised.
For Eva Angelina, the thought of being a lead character in a big budget movie was a bit daunting at first, but the performer met the challenge head on and owned the role of Cassandra, the troubled government agent.
“I’m thankful Eli and Bo had such faith in me in being able to carry a role this big. I had never been given the opportunity to act with so many emotions so for me to have been able to pull it off really is an accomplishment and I hope there will be more big roles like this in the future,” Angelina said.
