Porn Valley- Vicky Vette was on Sports Swami and Swami remembered the last time he met Vette at the AEE show in January. "You were signing away- tons of autograph seekers, thousands of fans." Swami wanted to know what's been going on with Vette since then. Vette said she went back to L.A. after that.

"And I've been home ever since," she said. "I haven't been to L.A. making movies, but you wouldn't know it because there's another Vicky Vette movie coming out. It looks to everybody like I'm still here, but I haven't been. I've been at home building houses. But I'm in L.A. right now." Swami wondered what that was all about- a house building career combined with a porn career.

Vette, www.vickyvetteathome.com says you make really good money in porn. "But it would be so easy to squander it away on partying and hair extensions," she said. "Instead I buy land, septic tanks, lumber and build houses. I'm trying to plan for my future." Vette said she was shooting like crazy for her website and wanted to stockpile a couple years worth of inventory. "One day I could go on a boat for a year and have someone else update my website!"

Vette said her website is a mixture of pro and amateur material. "Sometimes I'll just go in my backyard and play with my hose and have a neighbor film me doing stuff. Some times I'll be in L.A. with $10,000 worth of lights and camera equipment shooting really professional stuff. You get everything on there. You get a lot of my friends who are swingers. They just come over and play. Then you get other porn stars when I'm in L.A. You get everything."

Vette said she started putting up some anal scenes on her website. "I update it about six times a week so there's always something new," she said. "I do everything myself- 100%." Vette notes that she also does a camshow every week. "I'm on a newtork where there's 200 girls altogether so you have access to all of their shows for free. It's 24 hours of live camshows where you can talk to the girls and tell them what you want them to do. It's really good value for your money."

Asked what's the weirdest thing she's been asked to do on webcam, Vette said she's limited to one room. "Two weeks ago I did it from the bath tub. I was over my friend Gia Jordan's house and we just took my laptop and webcam and we had a bubble bath together. Pepple were telling us what to do. We had all kinds of toys and stuff." After the webcam was turned off, Vette said she and Jordan kept on going. "We had gotten all hot and bothered. We got the strap-on." In one instance, Vette said she had a friend who was into cherry lollipops. "You have to watch the show and see where the lollipop ended up."

Asked, jokingly, if her porn career was a midlife crisis, Vette said most people think it's really great. "Most people wish they could do it," she says. "But they're afraid to give up the security of their regular 9 to 5 job. Or they're afraid of peer pressure but, secretly, they wish they were doing it, too and are fascinated by it." Vette said people will slow down by her house and gawk knowing that's where the porn star lives. "In general, it's all good." Vette laughs about friends and neighbors stopping by her house stealing her movies and magazines.

Vette said the most amazing thing about the AEE show was that she got to met all her fans. "People came from all over the place- the UK, Australia, from Canada. It was unreal. I got to take pictures with all my fans. That was the most important part for me. Me and the fans is wonderful. That's what I like."

Vette was asked if her husband wanted to become a porn star or was he content to remain behind the scenes. "He likes to take care of me," she replied. "We're a team. We do it together even though I'm the one on the camera. He always the one behind me, supporting me. He gets me to my appointments on time. He makes sure that I have everything that I need. He checks all the other peoples' tests. He does all the running around. He works really, really hard."

Asked about expanding a family, Vette said she was almost 40 so she wasn't about to start having any kids. "I'm really happy with my life." Vette said she loves the spontaneity of being able to work up two in the morning and fly to New York on a whim. "Then you buy a toothbrush when you get there. You couldn't do that sort of thing when you have kids." Vette said with two dogs, that pretty much comprises her family. Vette also speculated that she might buy some property in L.A. "We're talking about it- we found a couple of acres. We're thinking about maybe two houses- one for us and one to sell. Like what we do in Atlanta. But it's a different market out here. Everything is triple, quadruple the price. We're thinking about it because I ant to spend more time in L.A. If you wan to hunt rabbits, you got to go where the rabbits are." Vette said she will always keep her place in Atlanta, however.

Swami said he's never heard stories of Vette drinking or being on drugs. vette said she di enough of that when she was younger. "I ended up in Alcoholics Anonymous when I was 21," she said. Vette said she'll smoke a joint occasionally but that's about it. Vette said that's where she and her husband met- at AA. "I was a mess when he first saw me." Vette said her moment of hitting rock bottom came on a St. Patrick's Day. "I went out on a real toot- I stayed drunk for about four days." Vette said when she woke up she didn't know where she was.

"I didn't recognize the people I was with. I went home. I was just crying and throwing up. Then I wanted to kill myself." Vette said her other husband at the time and parents had the police looking for her. "I realized how badly I hurt them. And it wasn't the first time that it happened." Vette said she looked at her future and if this was the way her life was going to be, she wanted to kill herself. "Basically it was living to drink," she said. "It would start off only drinking on the weekends. Then the weekend would end on Monday. Then it would start on Thursday, payday; eventually it would start on Tuesday. Then, evenetually Monday and Tuesday I would have to go out and drink during lunchtime because I was shaking. That's how bad it was."

Vette said she was sitting at a table with knives out checking which one was the sharpest. "I wanted to slit my throat. I wasn't going to mess around with my wrists or take pills. I wanted to cut my jugular. I was sitting there crying. This little voice inside my head said, you dumb bitch, you only get like this when you drink." Vette said she grabbed the yellow pages and, lloking down, there was AA in front of her. Vette said she called and thus began the process of going to meetings. "The rule is 90 meetings in 90 days." Vette said she met her husband-to-be, while her first husband also went to AA, as well as her mother. "Everybody got sober."

Vette was asked how tough it is to say no at industry events where the liquor flows. "I drink near beer," she said. "A lot of times people don't know what you're drinking. They think you're drinking beer and the next day they'll tell you, you were so drunk last night! I'll do crazy things without being drunk. I don't need it. I'm high on life, now." Vette says she tries talking to youngwer women about the ponetial vices. "But I end up smothering them sometimes," she says. "If they're not hittin their bottom they're not going to listen you anyways. They just think you're a pain in the ass and they don't want to hear it. There's a point where you just give up."

Vette ascribes her youthful looks to the fact that she hasn't drank, done drugs or smoked cigarettes since she was 21. "I eat really, really healthy," she says. "I haven't seen the inside of a Burger King or McDonald's for 20 years." Vette also tries to work out on occasion. "I guess I have those Viking genes." Vette said her mom, who's in her late 50's, looks good. "She still doesn't have any gray hair at all and my grandmother is still hot and is till horny, too. She's 88, and we still send her lingerie as Christmas presents."

Asked if she was giving thoughts to starting her own company, Vette said she hasn't found a deal that she's comfortable with. "We keep kicking the idea around." Vette said she's intrigued by feature dancing, however. "I know most women my age are retiring but I want to give it a shot and it's more of a personal challenge than anything else. I have a lot of stage fright. And ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to dance on the stage, but I was too afraid." Vette said she always wanted to join the drama club when she was in high school but was, likewise, too afraid. "Everything I wanted to do I kind of gave up on it only to do anything when I was really drink. It's more of a personal challenge for me. I really want to do it."

With her being a swinger, Swami brought up the escorting issue. Vette said she has nothing against it. "I know a lot of girls who do it. Morally, I don't think there's anything at all wrong with it," she said. "To me it's just a safety factor. I might ever consider it, but the safety factor's not there. When I'm doing movies my husband's on set. There's a director. There's a couple of lighting people There's a makeup artist. There's a whole gang of people there. Yeah, you're still having sex for money. It's just that I'm really comfortable where if I was going off alone with someone, that kind of scares me- some guy in a hotel cutting me into little pieces."
