Porn Valley- The Sports Swami had Vicky Vette on this morning to talk about an AIDS charity event which she's getting involved in, in Atlanta. In the conversation, Vette, however, pointed out that iBill wouldn't cooperate with her in a spirit of giving.

Vette explained that the event was a 10-mile or 10-K walk as the case may be. "We're supposed to get sponsors so much per mile," she explained. "I registered myself and my husband and my dog Shorty [a Boston Terrier]. I'm going around getting sponsors. But as it turns out I'm going to be in LA shooting which I'm really upset about. So I still want to make a contribution. What I'm going to do is give away 8 by 10's and movies and stuff like that. I'll put something up on my website where people can just click on a button to make a contribution."

Vette explained that she lives in Atlanta. "There's an area here called Midtown which is predominantly a gay hang out," she said. "I always go to the Gay Pride and try to support them as much as I can." Vette said she went into a gay bookstore. "They had advertising for it. I read how many people have AIDS and have it or don't even know it. I don't remember what all those statistics are. But, recently it hit really close to home, too, being in the adult industry. A couple of girls are HIV positive. That just as easily could have been me or anyone else. It hits close to the heart. I think we all should do whatever we can to try and stamp it out."

Swami was curious if other adult-related promotions were involved. "I don't think so," said Vette. "I know that Jenna has some kind of program going on when we were having the HIV crisis in the industry. But I don't think it's related to this organization which is the Atlanta branch.

"I haven't even contacted them yet and told them what I'm doing," Vette laughed. "I just got home from being away for six weeks and I'm so swamped it's unbelievable. But I'm trying to devote every spare moment I have to this."

Swami wanted to know what Vette's fans could do. Vette said they could go to her website. "There's nothing there yet though," she said. "I wanted to have it all done before I started talking about it. But you know how it goes. There's never enough hours in a day. But I'm going to have a lot about it on my website and I'll be talking about it on my Yahoo group as well. My website is www.vickyathome.com. And my Yahoo group is the same thing."

Vette says for anyone who contributes $15 she'll send them an 8 by 10. For anyone who contributes $30, she'll send them a movie.

Vette said she'll also be hitting the adult companies for giveaways. Vette noted that Swami's station, www.cyberstationusa.com along with LA Directs Models, and Starr Productions are going to provide an autographed picture of Bobby Orr from his game winning goal from the 1972 Stanley Cup series against the St. Louis Blues. Along with some surprise videos, Swami said Dangerboy Video along with Nasty Mila have also promised to send 5 Nasty Mila DVDs for auction or whatever.

"Hopefully the money will go to a great cause," said Swami. "Something has to be done to stop this whole disease." Swami also took note of the condition of one time football great Lyle Alzado and urged all his listeners to contact Vette at her website. "Any support whether it's financial, whether it's pledging to sponsor someone, it's a great cause."

Vette solicited some ideas from the listeners about how to set it up. "I contacted iBill because I do my online store with them," she explained. "They take 15.5% so I tried to get them to do something special for me where I could use their system so people could pay with a credit card. They said no dice. They would still take the 15.5% which I thought was pretty crappy on their part.

"I also tried using PayPal but they don't want to be involved because I'm an adult star and they don't want to do anything that's adult-related. Boo-hoo on them. I thought that was pretty lousy."
