NY- The woman accused of being the hooker booker for bleach-blond madam Kristin Davis pleaded not guilty Monday to charges she matched clients with high-priced prostitutes.
Grace O’Toole, 24, was ordered held on $25,000 bail as prosecutors detailed how the Bronx native managed the day-to-day affairs of the illicit business.
Prosecutors said O’Toole was Davis’ right hand – a description that annoyed O’Toole’s family who attended the arraignment at Manhattan Supreme Court.
“Second in command?” her brother Thomas O’Toole asked mockingly. “That’s why she lives in a s–t hole one-bedroom in the Bronx. … I love my sister very much.”
Assistant District Attorney John McConnell said O’Toole, using the nickname “Raven” was responsible for “answering phones, making appointments, and processing credit card payments” for Wicked Escorts.
“She was paid by Davis in cash and checks on accounts that were used to launder funds,” McConnell said.
Prosecutors conceded that O’Toole left the operation after getting into a “business dispute” with the voluptuous Davis.
O’Toole, who dreamed of working at the New York Botanical Garden, was tracked during the year-long investigation by cops after giving her cell phone number to an undercover detective posing as a client, McConnell said.
The accused booker looked upset as she stood silently and in handcuffs next to her lawyer, Javier Solano. He said O’Toole had no arrest record and surrendered to police after learning she was being sought.
He argued that charges of promoting prostitution did not warrant bail, but the judge disagreed. Solano said he expects O’Toole to make bail today.
