NYC- The 12-year-old of accused Manhattan madam Andreia Schwartz is having a hard time dealing with reports his mom is a seven-figure seductress.
"He's suffering a lot with this story," said grandmother Elza Dias, who lives in a humble two-story yellow house in Vila Velha, a coastal village north of Rio de Janeiro.
The boy, who lives with his father in Brazil, last saw Schwartz in March when she flew from New York to visit the family.
"The father takes really good care of him," Dias said, adding that relatives are trying desperately to shelter him from the most sordid details of his mother's woes.
Dias also defended her daughter, calling her a good parent who always flew home for Christmas bearing gifts.
"Andreia is super loving - very affectionate as a mom. Every time she sees her son, she spends all the time possible with him," she said. "When she comes, she brings presents for him."
Dias said she has only spoken with her 31-year-old daughter twice since she was busted in a brothel sting last month.
Schwartz, now stuck on Rikers Island, has pleaded not guilty to drug and prostitution charges.
"Everybody who knows [Andreia] is very upset and shocked," Dias said. "It's all a lie. She said she will prove her innocence."
Schwartz allegedly turned her W. 58th St. condo into a lucrative bordello where comely call girls turned tricks for up to $1,500 an hour.
In a statement to cops, Schwartz said her two biggest sugar daddies paid her a total of $250,000 for sex. She identified her benefactors as Time Warner Chief Financial Officer Wayne Pace and Park Avenue money manager Robert Voccola.
Voccola has declined to comment, but Pace's lawyer called Schwartz a "bimbo" and denied his client had any inappropriate relationship with her.
Meanwhile, Schwartz's mother is looking to a higher power for help.
"I'm getting comfort from God, and my preacher is giving me spiritual comfort," Dias said. "I'm going to church almost every night."
