After setting a franchise record for wins and earning a first-round bye, the Saints mission now is to clinch the best record in the conference and secure home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs. Even though I’m sure that they’ll take them however they come, New Orleans’ most recent wins haven’t exactly been neither Big nor Easy.
“What’s important to me is that we’re making the plays in crunch time. When we’re called upon to make them, we’re making them,” Brees said. “We call that being battle-tested. They’re only going to get harder from here on out. We’re going to get everyone’s best game.”
