AIDS Healthcare Foundation to file health complaints against Miami porn industry for lack of condoms

Guess one defeat in the courts wasn’t enough.

from www.nbcmiami.com – One activist group wants Florida porn stars to cover up before they do the deed, and it has nothing to do with the cold weather.

Tired of watching adult stars film scenes without rubbers, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation said it plans on filing safety complaints with Miami-Dade health officials using a state sanitary nuisance statute.

“In light of the tremendous growth of adult film production in Florida, particularly in Miami, and in response to repeated threats from California producers who say they will leave California and take their productions-and jobs-to other states including Florida, AHF decided to expand our adult film worker safety campaign to include Florida,” Michael Weinstein, President of AHF, said in a statement.

Some lucky devil over at the AHF reviewed 10 DVDs, including “Barely Legal: Miami Girls,” and “South Beach Crusin #2” and found 11 total scenes where no condoms were used.

“The Miami-Dade complaints will assert that the films demonstrate unsafe-potentially life-threatening-behavior in a Florida workplace, as the sexual acts filmed without participating performers wearing condoms depict the unprotected exchange of bodily fluids,” a statement from the group read.

Two main targets of the complaints will be Bang Bros Films and Josh Stone Productions, both Miami-based porn companies.
