WWW- Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer has officially denied that the Supreme Court’s sexiest plaintiff is pregnant – but some people aren’t convinced.

For a month now, we’ve been hearing that the litigious widow of billionaire Howard Marshall is expecting – courtesy of her photographer friend Larry Birkhead.

Initially, Smith’s lawyer, Howard K. Stern, hedged, telling us: “If Anna Nicole is pregnant, she obviously doesn’t want anybody to know yet. If she’s not pregnant, she’s not denying the rumor, because she thinks it’s funny how much of a stir it’s causing. She’ll leave it up to you to guess which one it is.”

Yesterday, when we checked in with Stern, he said: “That rumor is entirely false.”

Odd, then, that Smith should leave eavesdroppers at L.A.’s posh baby boutique Petit Tresor with the distinct impression she’ll be suiting up a little girl.

“She and a female friend were looking at mostly pink onesies, pajamas and blankets,” a spy tells us. “The kind of things you get when you first find out.” Word is Smith indicated they were not gifts.

Another correspondent tells our colleague Ben Widdicombe that Smith looked “very pregnant” during a recent visit to Myrtle Beach, S.C., where she’s said to have rented a beachfront home. “She was trying to conceal her stomach,” says the source. “[But] there was no doubt!”

Also in Myrtle Beach, according to the tipster, is Birkhead. His mere presence would put the lie to reports that he’s going to make money and/or custody demands on Anna. But Birkhead has denied he’s the father of the denied baby. So, unless those denials are denied, nobody should have a problem.
