INDIANAPOLIS — from www.theindychannel.com – A man killed a man he met at a bar during a party with a call girl, according to charges filed Tuesday.
Toby Hicks, [pictured] 29, was charged with murder and robbery in the death of Stephen Pence, 49, whose body was found at his home 11458 Windhaven Court on Dec. 30.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Hicks met Pence and another man at a bar on Dec. 28, and they all decided to call an escort to Pence’s home for a private party.
When the woman was giving Pence a lap dance in an upstairs bedroom, Hicks hit him over the head with an object and took his wallet, forcing the escort at gunpoint to drive him to Brazil, Ind., prosecutors said.
Pence, who was legally blind, was found dead near the front door of his home by a neighbor two days later.
Hicks was arrested on Dec. 31 outside a Lawrence mobile home park. He told prosecutors that he found Pence unconscious after leaving him alone with the call girl.
He was scheduled to have an initial hearing Wednesday morning.
